I am so incredibly frustrated with Amazon right now like why is this so difficult. Im trying to set up my home office here in Halifax because I start a new remote role next week and my boss told me to just add everything I need to a cart and they would pay for it. I have about $450 worth of stuff sitting in my cart right now - a monitor, some cables, an ergonomic keyboard, and a desk lamp.
So I was thinking there would just be a simple share cart button or something. My logic was that this is a super common thing for businesses, right? But I have been looking for the last hour and I cannot find any way to just send the cart to my manager so she can check out with the company card.
I tried making a wish list but some of the office items are limited time deals and they dont seem to carry over properly, plus it is just a huge pain to recreate the whole list item by item. I need to get this ordered by tonight so it actually arrives before my start date on Monday. Is there some workaround or a browser extension that actually works for Amazon Canada to just transfer the cart?...
Make sure to monitor those limited-time deals, as prices can change fast. You might want to consider that your boss may not see the same discounts if they lack Prime. I would suggest:
To add to the point above, I was really happy with how these worked for my remote setup:
Oh my god, I feel your pain so much! I ran into this exact same nightmare last year when my team was buying gear for a huge project. Amazon really makes this way harder than it needs to be! So what I ended up doing was using a browser extension called Share-A-Cart. It is seriously a lifesaver! You just click it, it generates a simple code, and you send that to your boss. When she clicks it, boom, all those exact items from your Canadian cart load right into her cart instantly. It saved me hours of rebuilding lists, and it keeps all the deals intact too. Give it a shot, it honestly works like magic!
I went through this exact hassle a few years back when equipping my own home office setup. Browser extensions work pretty well for this, but I would suggest being extra cautious because cart transfers can occasionally drop items if stock is low. Here is what saved me from a major purchasing headache back then:
