Omg okay I am literally so excited right now because my holy grail foundation and like three different palettes are finally running low and I am refusing to pay full price for them lmao. Ive been trying to figure out how to track cosmetic price drops online so I dont miss out on sales since I live in the US and brands do random flash sales all the time. I spent hours reading reddit threads and everyone keeps talking about Honey and CamelCamelCamel. But CCC is mostly for amazon and the stuff I want is from sephora and ulta directly, and honey has been kinda glitchy for me lately? Plus I read on some blog that those coupon finders dont even track the actual markdown history for beauty stuff properly.

Basically here is what Im working with and what I need:

  • Budget: Trying to keep my total cart under 80 dollars during the drop
  • Timeline: I need to buy everything by the end of next month before my birthday trip
  • Use case: Tracking high-end makeup brands like Urban Decay and Rare Beauty
  • Preference: Prefer an app or browser extension that actually sends push notifications instead of emails that go to spam

Are there better tools specifically for beauty products or do I just have to check every single day manually like a peasant...

CamelCamelCamel and Honey are indeed limited for direct retailer tracking outside of Amazon, and extension reliability fluctuates frequently. For Sephora and Ulta specifically, dedicated price-tracking utilities yield better results.

  • Capital One Shopping monitors specific product pages and alerts users when price drops occur.
  • The Brandefy app allows users to track price changes on high-end cosmetics and alerts you via push notification.
  • Setting up manual wishlist alerts directly on the brand websites serves as a reliable secondary safety net. Using a combination of Capital One Shopping and native retailer wishlists usually prevents you from missing flash sales without checking daily.
