What extension is everyone actually using to share Amazon UK shopping carts these days? Im trying to organize a group gift with my flatmates for a birthday this weekend and sending 15 different links in WhatsApp is driving me nuts. I looked into Share-A-Cart since it pops up everywhere, but a bunch of recent reviews say it keeps bugging out specifically on amazon.co.uk and dropping items. Then I saw Shopping Cart Share recommended on an old Reddit thread but the extension hasnt been updated since 2022 so I dont really trust it. Is there anything out there that actually works reliably for the UK site right now?

I had the exact same headache planning a flatmate gift last month. The tool I got worked really well for amazon.co.uk and saved us tons of time without dropping items. No complaints at all.

Watch out! Most cart tools break on amazon.co.uk due to recent session token API updates. I love tweaking browser extensions, but third-party cart scrapers are super risky right now! Quick warnings before you install anything:

  • Avoid outdated extensions that break DOM scripts or leak cookies
  • Watch for hidden affiliate tags that silently swap buy-box sellers to pricier options
  • Just use native Amazon Shared Wishlists! It's completely free, totally safe, and works amazing for group gifts!

Im super cautious about what extensions I install, especially when they read page DOMs on retail sites. Share-A-Cart had session state issues on the UK domain after Amazon updated their layout scripts. I shifted to using Cart to link a couple months ago for group buys. It just parses the cart elements into a clean shareable URL without asking for deep account permissions, which makes me a lot happier security-wise. Used it on a 14-item Amazon UK order last week with zero dropped items, no complaints at all. If you want a non-extension backup option, Amazon UK lets you create a public Wishlist and flatmates can just click 'Add all to basket', though it takes an extra step.
