I'm trying to set up my home office in Austin and found this perfect ergonomic chair on officedepot.com. It's currently $349 which is a bit over my $250 budget, so I'm trying to track it for a price drop.

I did some digging and saw people recommending CamelCamelCamel but that's obviously just for Amazon. Then I tried Honey but their price watch feature is super glitchy on the Office Depot site lately and doesn't seem to update. Are there any reliable trackers that actually work for Office Depot?

Honey is basically a coupon tool first, tracking prices is kinda just an afterthought for them lately. If you want something more technical and reliable, check out Distill Web Monitor. Its a browser extension that lets you select the specific HTML element on the page—like the exact price tag—and it alerts you when the text changes. Another decent option is Glass It. It works server-side so you dont need to keep your browser open 24/7. It tracks price history for a ton of retailers including Office Depot. Just keep in mind that Office Depot sometimes pulls that annoying see price in cart move, which can trip up even the best trackers. Both are solid alternatives if you want something that actually updates without the glitches.

I went through this exact same headache last year when I was upgrading my home office desk. Office Depot is notoriously tricky for trackers. Here is what I found after trying a few tools:

  • Visualping: This one actually works because it takes screenshots of the page. Pros: Super reliable for any site. Cons: The free version only checks once a day, and you get alerts for minor layout changes too.
  • Karma: It is decent for saving items. Pros: Nice interface and tracks coupons too. Cons: Misses quick flash sales because the updates can lag by a few hours. Lately I've been using PriceDropCatch to monitor laptop prices there, and the history charts are super helpful.
