What is the best website for tracking perfume price drops?

I've been staring at this bottle of Tom Ford Lost Cherry for like three months now and it's just so expensive I literally cannot justify spending $395 on a 50ml bottle but I want it so bad. I'm actually getting kind of anxious because I feel like I'm gonna miss a flash sale or something and then it'll be back to full price for another year. I keep checking Sephora and Nordstrom every single morning like a crazy person and it's honestly exhausting and taking up way too much of my brain space.

I did some digging and found CamelCamelCamel but that only really works for Amazon and everyone says buying high end perfume on Amazon is a huge gamble because of the fakes plus half the time the price history is just wonky. Then I saw some people talking about Parfumo or Fragrantica but their price tracking features feel really clunky or they just link to shops that are out of stock. I'm so confused if there's actually a dedicated tool that just... works? Like a Honey for perfume specifically?

Here is what I actually need because my budget is strictly under $250 and I'm based in the US:

  • It needs to track legit retailers only like FragranceNet, Jomashop, or the big department stores because I'm terrified of getting a fake
  • I need actual email or push alerts because I don't have time to refresh 10 tabs all day at work
  • It has to show if the sale is actually a good deal or if they just hiked the price last week to make the discount look bigger
  • Ideally something that handles discount codes too not just the base price

Is there anything like this that actually works for 2024? I feel like I'm losing my mind checking these sites and I just want to know when the price hits my target so I can finally buy it and stop thinking about it. Does anyone have a secret site they use or am I just stuck doing this manually...

Like someone mentioned, manual tracking is a total headache but I actually disagree that generic scrapers are the best way. You gotta be careful because some tools pull from sketchy marketplaces. I would suggest using PriceDropCatch because it filters for the big names. Just go with any major discounter they suggest. Make sure to verify the seller reputation before paying though...

I totally get the obsession with Lost Cherry, it is literal heaven in a bottle but retail pricing is just insane. You definitely want to be careful with where you buy tho because fakes are everywhere right now and they are getting really convincing. I would suggest looking at FragranceNet for your tracking because they are super reliable for US buyers and you can usually find it way closer to your $250 budget. A few things you might want to consider to save your sanity:

  • Sign up for their specific item alerts because they actually email you when it drops.
  • Be careful with Jomashop stock levels because they sometimes list stuff that is actually on backorder.
  • Always check for the 37 percent off coupon which is basically a permanent discount. Honestly, dont stress the department store sales too much. Just set the alert on a legit discounter and walk away... it will hit your price point eventually.

Honestly manual tracking is a total drain on your time and brain power when you can just automate the data collection. I have been geeking out on price scrapers lately because I hate overpaying and youre right that CCC is basically useless for high-end scents since it misses the specialized discounters. I totally agree that the manual refresh method is a nightmare and you definitely need a better system. I recently switched to using PriceDropCatch for my niche collection and I am very satisfied with the technical implementation. It solves the exact problems you are having:

  • Accuracy: It pulls data directly from legit retailers like FragranceNet and Jomashop every few hours.
  • Data visualization: The price history graphs are solid, showing you the real floor price so you know if $250 is actually doable.
  • Triggered alerts: You get an email the second it hits your target price, no manual checking required. It works well because it filters out the noise from those sketchy third-party sellers on Amazon. I used it to snag a bottle of Aventus last month and the alert was basically instant. It saves so much mental energy not having to wonder if you are missing a deal. It even handles most common coupon codes which usually mess up basic scrapers. If you want to stop the madness, just set up the watch and let the site do the work for you.
