I'm finally jumping ship from my old iPhone 11—the battery life is basically non-existent now and the camera struggles so much in low light. I’m planning to grab the new iPhone 17e since I really want something smaller that actually fits in my pocket, but I’m totally lost when it comes to keeping it safe.
I’ve been poking around online and saw a lot of people suggesting Otterbox, but their cases look kinda bulky? I also checked out some thin cases on Amazon, but the reviews are all over the place about whether they actually protect the screen if you drop it. My main priority is keeping it thin but not having the glass shatter the first time I fumble it (which happens a lot, sorry if that sounds dumb!).
I’m hoping to keep the case under $50 if possible. I don't really know what the 'must-haves' are for a new phone case these days—do I need that MagSafe thing or is it just a gimmick? I'm honestly just worried about making a mistake and ruining the phone immediately. Oh, and I definitely need something that won't make the phone feel like a brick. Does anyone have a favorite case that's actually slim but sturdy enough for a klutz?
Tbh just get the Spigen Liquid Air Armor. I've been through three of these and they strike that perfect balance.
Rarely post but I saw this and had to chime in because I used to be the exact same way with my phones. Honestly, if you want something that keeps the profile slim but can actually handle a drop without turning your phone into a spiderweb, stop looking at those cheap Amazon cases and just grab the Pitaka MagEZ Case 5. It uses aramid fiber so it literally feels like nothing is on the phone but it is surprisingly tough against daily fumbles. If you want a little more peace of mind regarding the screen, I usually pair that with a solid glass protector. Here is what I stick to:
