So Ive been using OnePlus phones for literally years now and usually upgrading is pretty straightforward, but Im ordering the OnePlus 15 and suddenly stressing out about ecosystem stuff. Coming from an older 8T where the battery barely holds a charge for three hours and the charging port is kinda loose tbh, I just want something that wont drop connection when I go for a run. Im kinda picky about audio latency too since I do mobile gaming sometimes.

Since I'm dropping cash on the new phone, I need some solid earbud recommendations that actually play nice with it. Here is what I am looking for:

  • Budget: around $150 max, dont wanna break the bank completely
  • Priorities: battery life is huge for me cause I forget to charge things, plus decent ANC for the subway
  • Size: nothing bulky that falls out of my ears while doing dishes

Do I just stick with OnePlus Buds to keep things seamless with the codec support, or are Sony/Galaxy buds better even without the native app integration? Anyone tested this combo yet...

Stumbled upon this discussion today and honestly, I wouldn't just blindly grab the matching brand buds just because everyone on YouTube says you need the 'ecosystem synergy' — wait, no, sometimes the codec pairing actually matters for gaming latency, but the hype gets out of hand. Before anyone drops actual money on a recommendation here, I'm curious: when you do mobile gaming on that new phone, are we talking casual puzzle stuff or competitive shooters where every millisecond of audio delay ruins a match? Because that totally changes the calculus.

  • OnePlus Buds Pro 3 get pushed constantly by reviewers, but real owners deal with weird firmware bugs that never make the sponsored videos.
  • Latency codecs like LHDC or aptX Adaptive behave differently depending on the exact app you're using. Let me know about your gaming habits and I can give you a better breakdown of what actually works without the marketing fluff.
