How do I share my Amazon.ca shopping cart with a friend?

Ive used Amazon.ca for years and usually just send wishlist links, but Im trying to coordinate a $400 order for a party in Toronto this Saturday. I have 15 items sitting in my active cart right now and need my friend to review them before I hit buy tonight. Is there any way to share a live cart directly, or do I need some browser extension?

Amazon still does not have a native share button for live carts, which is honestly super annoying when you are trying to coordinate events. I run into this exact issue all the time when ordering gear and supplies for local meetups. Your best quick option is using a browser extension like Share-A-Cart. Ive used it dozens of times for Amazon.ca orders and it just generates a small code or link that replicates your 15 items straight into your friends cart. That said, I would suggest being cautious whenever installing shopping extensions. Make sure to only download it directly from the official Chrome or Firefox stores, and be careful not to grant any weird permissions. You might want to consider turning the extension off after you generate the cart link just to keep your account totally private. Also, since your party is in Toronto this Saturday, make sure to double check the estimated delivery dates on every single item before you check out tonight. Prime shipping in the GTA is usually solid, but third party sellers can delay the whole batch. I would suggest making sure everything says fulfilled by Amazon so you arent stuck waiting on Saturday morning. Let me know if you get stuck setting up the cart link, glad to lend a hand.

Re: "Had a moment to think about this. Amazon..." - security is honestly the main reason Amazon locks cart sessions down. Its annoying when you are coordinating an event on a deadline, but you definitely dont want to give random browser tools full access to your account just to share 15 items. If you want a safe and practical way to handle this without risking your personal data, here is how I usually approach it:

  • Use a dedicated cart link creator: I use Cart to Link whenever Im doing collaborative shopping. It basically converts your cart items into a single shareable link so your friend can view the list in one click without you needing to share login details or install heavy extensions.
  • Watch out for seller shipping speeds: Since your Toronto party is coming up fast this Saturday, double check that every item in the cart is Prime eligible or fulfilled directly by Amazon. Independent third-party sellers can easily lag on delivery times.
  • Check CAD pricing and stock: Prices on Amazon change constantly. Once your friend reviews the list, try to place the order right away so you dont get hit with sudden price jumps or out-of-stock items. It gets the job done cleanly without risking account safety or overpaying on last-minute shipping fees.

Had a moment to think about this. Amazon locks down cart sessions for security, so direct link sharing isnt natively built in. I would suggest trying these alternative options instead:

  • Move the cart items into a temporary Shared Wishlist to send over.
  • Export the page as a quick PDF to show exact prices and items. Just be careful if you try third-party tools, make sure to check permission access on your Amazon account first.
