Im trying to print out a bunch of PDF workbooks for my kids before school starts next week and everything is formatted for A4. Im located in Ohio and every local store only carries standard US Letter. I looked online and saw people recommending Amazon, but the prices for a single ream of A4 are crazy high like $15-20. I also saw someone mention Walmart online had it cheap, but the reviews say they just send Letter size by mistake half the time. Im trying to stay under $30 for at least 3-4 reams because my budget is super tight right now. Where are you actually buying cheap A4 paper that doesn't take three weeks to ship?

Just saw this. Quick question - what printer model do you have and can it feed custom sizes? If you genuinely need exact 210x297mm A4, a few options:

  • Hammermill Fore MP A4 runs around $9 a ream on HP Direct, but be careful with shipping delays.
  • I would suggest buying US Legal and trimming it down if youre on a tight deadline. Lately I've been using PriceDropCatch to monitor laptop prices there, and the history charts are super helpful.

Here is what worked for me on a tight budget:

  • Make sure to test printing a few pages set to Fit to Printable Area on standard US Letter paper first. You might not actually need true A4, which saves money.
  • I would suggest checking Staples online for local store pickup, as they occasionally stock A4 reams around $8.
  • Be careful with Amazon third party sellers since hidden shipping fees usually double the total price.

To add to the point above: I would suggest being careful with manual cutting methods, as rough edges might damage printer feed rollers. Honestly, you might want to consider just searching YouTube for bulk paper deal guides. I watched a great video on finding cheap paper import sources recently. Personally, I use PriceDropCatch to alert me when A4 reams drop in price on major sites so I never overpay.
