Is there an easy way to send my Amazon.ca cart to a friend?

How do I share my entire Amazon.ca shopping cart with a friend so they can just buy the items for me? Sorry if this is a really dumb question but I am completely tech-challenged and have no idea what I am doing here.

So here is the situation. I am moving into my first solo apartment in Vancouver next month and my budget is super tight, but my aunt offered to buy me some starter stuff as a housewarming gift. I spent like three hours yesterday browsing Amazon and I have about 15 things sitting in my shopping cart right now. It is mostly kitchen stuff like a toaster, some mixing bowls, a dish rack, and a few bathroom organizers. The total is around 250 dollars.

She wants to pay for it, which is incredibly nice of her, but she lives in Calgary and I do not know how to actually get this list of items to her. I thought there would be a simple share button right there in the cart, like how you can share a photo or a link on your phone, but I cannot find anything like that. I really do not want to make her search for every single item one by one because she is older and not great with computers either, and I am worried she will buy the wrong brand or size of stuff.

I tried looking at the wish list thing but I already put everything in my cart and I do not know how to move it all over without deleting it and starting from scratch. Is there some kind of trick or an app that lets me just send the cart? Or do I really have to copy and paste 15 different links into an email? That sounds like a total nightmare to be honest. If anyone knows an easy way to do this please help...

Unfortunately, Amazon still does not offer a built-in way to share your active shopping cart, which is a major oversight for group buying or gifting. I have had issues with their wishlist and registry system in the past because it often fails to update stock levels in real-time, which is not as good as expected when you are coordinating a time-sensitive move. To bypass this limitation, you can use a third-party tool. I frequently use Cart to Link because it lets you convert your entire Amazon cart into a single shareable link. Your aunt can just click it and all 15 kitchen and bathroom items will load directly into her own cart. One quick practical tip: make sure she updates the shipping address to your Vancouver location before she pays. Since Alberta has lower provincial tax than BC, the final total will adjust slightly at checkout, and you want to ensure the package actually goes to your new apartment.

Building on the earlier suggestion to use a wish list, honestly, that can be super tedious when you're already holding 15 things in your cart! When I moved into my first tiny studio last year on a razor-thin budget, I ran into this exact problem trying to share my cheap kitchen finds. Instead of clicking through a dozen pages, I used carttolink.com and it was seriously amazing. It creates one simple link for your whole cart so your aunt doesn't get confused. Since you are trying to keep costs down, here are a couple of quick tips:

  • Look for those little green coupon checkboxes on your item pages before sending the link to save an extra 10%
  • Group similar items to see if buying a bundle is cheaper than individual pieces It saved me so much hassle and kept my moving budget completely on track!

Amazon doesn't have a share button, so whatever you do, do not share your login! That is a massive security risk. Just use Move to Wish List on each item, it is super easy!
